Jocelyn Meslin has been running the Opera Garnier make up department for many years, she has worked with the greatest (Noureev, Martha Graham, Forsythe) and traveled with the Opera company on all continents (China, South America, Australia, USA, Europe..).

She masters the art of Make up Artistry designed to beautify elegant ballerinas, and perfects special effects skills to transform singers in impressive opera characters: sometimes funny, arrogant, or simply extraordinary.

To create those many characters with a very strong visual identity designed to captivate the imagination, she relies on a series of innovative creations, classical techniques and of products strong enough to overcome the physical efforts of the singers and dancers. Jocelyne Meslin, forever enthusiastic and generous, invites us to join her in the backstage of this mythical place and shares with us the challenges that she and her dream team deal with on a daily basis.
