This is a lesson of patience taught to us by Chinese designer Ma Ke, whether during the presentation of her collection Wuyong – meaning useless – on completely static models supposedly made of earth, like the colour and the theme of the clothes, or during the exhibition of this collection at the Joyce gallery from March 1st to April 6th. Just enough time for the grass to grow: the visitors threw its seeds on a soil coming from China and France. Time is the real luxury for Ma Ke while everything moves at the speed of light in nowadays China.
