The 39th edition of Rencontres d’Arles, greatly benefited from the influence and dynamism of its outstanding guest curator, Christian Lacroix. The pertinence, imagination, variety and scope of his choices, the wide range of his perspectives together with his personal involvement all contributed immensely to the success of this event.
Opening Week ended magnificently with the unique fashion show covering 20 years of the House of Lacroix.
Christian Lacroix displayed his multi-faceted talent with the splendid exhibition at the Musée Réattu which juxtaposed fashion, fine arts, contemporary art works and the museum’s collections — which were his first contact with the world of art.
