For its third edition, the Arnhem Mode Biennale has chosen to illustrate and expose Fashion around the theme “Shape”.
Piet Paris, artistic director of this internationally renowned biennale, is illustrating Shape in 3 different ways: Traditional - Amazement - Conceptual.
The visitor is guided from one house to another, all after one another exploring the theme Shape; we first start with Maison Lanvin and its traditional way of cutting and shaping, then we enter the eccentric universe of Boudicca to finally finish with the conceptual shapes of the Maison Martin Margiela.
For one month, the city of Arnhem is becoming the capital of Fashion, welcoming international designers, Dutch designers as well as young creative designers like Monique van Heist, G+N or Iris van Herpen.
Many more activities are organised in this large program, such as catwalk shows, symposiums or even a program giving the opportunity to young international fashion designers to approach the themes Shape- Crafts and Quality in a theoretical and practical way.
