Emel : Creative, iconic, fun

Yaz : Socialite, Witty, authoritarian

GM : In this creator's sisterhood, who does what?
Yaz & Emel : We manage to share everything half way. We create, we draw, take care of production and sales, together!

GM : Do you think your Ottoman origins bring sensuality, passion, kitsch....
Yaz & Emel : Our origins bring folly and glamour!

GM : Do the Ottoman princess believe in the charming Prince?
YAZ : NOT AT ALL !
EMEL : Absolutly!

GM : Can you describe cinderella's slipper 2009 version.
Yaz : 12 cm made of diamonds!
Emel : More of a ballerina shoe

GM : Your universe varies from Gershwin to Grimm, Tim Burton to Hitchcock, Gene Kelly to the Cicciolina.. What is your definition of modernity?
Yaz : There certainly is a sense of nostalgia in there. Modernity would be to be able to combine the different eras with taste and sensitivity.
Emel :It's traditionalism revised. We always work on existing bases and we have fun turning it into something else. As an easthethic surgeon would do.

GM : Andy Warhol used to party in studio 64. Where do you go for an unforgettable party?
Yaz : Le Baron or for more intimate time "Chez Moune"
Emel : The unforgettable parties are the one that you didn't plan.

GM: Le Louvre, Guggenheim, Le Moma, Orsay, le Palais des Doges, Buckingham Palace, for a day at the museum with the Yaz sisters, where do you take us?
Yaz: As a good tour guide we take you to the Topkapi Palace!!
Emel : In wonderland

GM : You are a guest at the White House, what do you bring Michelle Obama?
Yaz : For the Winter 2008/09 season gentlemen prefer Yazbukey we reproduced Michelle Obama's face. That would be what we would bring her.
Emel : And her husband portrait in plexi.

GM : If Lafontaine had written a fable titled " The two princess and their chihuahua" what would have been the first verse?
Yaz & Emel : But where is the second chihuahua?

GM : Customize "La Joconde"
Yaz & Emel : She deserves a plexi necklace on her clivage!

GM : What fascinates you today?
Yaz & Emel: The fantasy of the end of the world.

GM : What is the most unusual object that you diverted?
Yaz & Emel : A taxidermist deer head, we love to dress and accessorize it, take pictures of it, it's our pet model!
