LYDIA COURTEILLE is an outstanding jewelry creator beyond fashion, and her illustrated collections by NATALIE SHAU has the exotic names of Secret Garden, Vanities, A Cassandra, Bestiary or Africa.

The artist with unique pieces defines herself as a geologist, an antique dealer, and a jewelry creator. Since she's a geologist, she seeks herself the most precious and atypical gems, golds, "enamels and cameos" (THEOPHILE GAUTIER) from antiquity to the 20th century and include them in her creations in an assortment of "precious pieces", unique and baroque compositions that wouldn't pale in a museum, very far from the luxurious classicism of Place Vendôme. Set of jewels, rings, bracelets, mourning jewels close to the Mexican mortuary myths, ceremonial jewels, all compete in elaborated and creative compositions, from the Fantastic Bestiary of ZOTL to an Art Deco styled Africa.

The fantastic, the gothic, the oniric are always present in the incredible and unexpected marriage of the gems : rodhium black gold, baroque iridescent pearls, black diamonds and ruby, roses, yellows, enamels, mother of pearls and mammoth ivory, corals and yellow jades, roc crystal and rose spinels are all part of a precious and fragmented kaleidoscope, even more baroque than the "great jewelers" as LINE VAUTRIN or DEAW SCHLUMBERGER, more sophisticated than Hollywood somptuous 30-50 jewels. The scuptural jewels that AVA GARDNER would have loved to own in her Pandora's box..
