Heir of a know-how still quite unfamous, Michel Heurtault, costumier - craftsman - creator of corsets and sunshades working for the largest couture houses and for the cinema, he is however a self-taught person. By discovering rare fabrics, hunting the flea markets and by playing the bookworms to always teach and keep himself informed, Michel Heurtault acknowledges that to be a corsetier or a parassolier it is necessary to be passionate.

Also in 20 years of career, Michel was also the manager of his own company Arssène and which gave him the chance to work in collaboration with Hermès, Jean-Paul Gaultier or John Galliano to quote only some of them but had also made incredible meetings like Bettina, the Duchess of Kent or Monsieur Givenchy - as many other people who were hurrying to come to his place and play the game of glamour and seduction. Today it is the cinema which calls him and confess to us that he had fun on the shooting of the latest François Ozon’s movie "Paradise" or for movie " Perfume " of Tom Tykwer.

Its first loves are dedicated to the realization of corsets. Answering to all the madnesses and wishes of Haute-couture, Theatre and Cinema, Michel Heurtault has fun to lengthen the busts, to smooth the sizes, to round the curves in order to transform any women and men to become even more elegant.

I n the realization of corsets and sunshades it is the relation between the curves, steel and fabrics, work days and nights to create tensions of fabrics, here is what he likes. After more than 20 years spent to devote his heart and soul, today the corset narrows him, whereas the world of “parassolerie” transports and brings him back to its first pleasures of collector.

Still a dream? Yes, but not only one, Michel Heurtault dreams of creation for the cinema, dreams that the French craft industry is better recognized in the corridors of the tax offices, and also dreams of an exhibition of sunshades.
Then to the question "Is it the object which creates Passion or is it the Passion which creates the object?" Michel Heurtault answers that from the object the Passion is born - which will always give him the desire to learn and to create the object.
