Fashion Stories .
He would have liked to be a museum curator and became a story inventor and
curator instead.
This exhibition mirrors 20 years of fashion designer Christian Lacroix’s
creations and the collections from the Musée de la Mode et du Textile.
Invited to visit the museum reserve collections, C.Lacroix
methodically sorts them by theme, turning time on its head: white, colour,
stripes, polka dots, tartan, flowers, styles, patchwork, as well as liturgy,
“Arlésienne” or spider-sewn pattern. The result: some
of the most beautiful “wardrobes” of the world, a clever
inventory of a century of fashion and a celebration of 20 years of
the fashion designer’s creations, along with anecdotes, words, and
stories.
