Gelitin
(a artists group formed by four extrovert Austrians) finally lands at the
Parisian Musée d’Art Moderne where, in a joyous
cacophony of colours, materials, and skills, it presents “La
Louvre, Paris”, a gigantic artistic brothel shamelessly composed
of loo paper, caramel, classic landscapes and erected penises, quite (un)logically
set by the four protagonists who claim their individualism loud and clear.
Not to be omitted: an inexpensive exhibition catalogue presented as a newspaper
in which the reader can (re)discover texts by Oleg Kulik,
Lawrence Weiner, Paola Pivi, Cerith
Wyn Evans, Samuel Beckett, Midori Matsui,
Franz West, Christoph Büchel…
And many more!
